Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy

Yoga therapy works by addressing your individual health concerns and applying the yoga framework therapeutically.
Using asana (physical shapes), pranayama (often using the breath to effect our energetic body), chanting, and meditation, we can help to bring the body back to balance.
Yoga practices can help bring awareness to our internal state. This help to move emotion out of the body that has become trapped as a result of chronic overwhelm by our bodies defense responses.
The result of this stress can have a lasting effect on our nervous system resulting in many symptoms such as:

Yoga therapy aims to treat the root of the problems, not just the symptoms. Like TCTSY, this type of therapy can work extremely well when combined with cognitive talk therapy.

We can then book our first session and if you decide to continue, I find it is generally best to book 4-6 session block as it is important to practice at home and allow time for change.
No previous experience of yoga is necessary.
